Tagging another Facebook page is simple.
Let's use an example. Let's say you would like to tag Social Report's Facebook page in your post. You would either click the "@" button on the top right, or just type "@" in the message box.
Now you'll type in Social Report and you'll see a list of accounts with Social Report's name. You can click on the Facebook page you want to tag, and it'll be inserted into the message.
Results in this:
Doing a Facebook Mention is equally as simple.
If you haven't been using Facebook Mentions yet, you are missing out on a fairly powerful feature that is second nature to all Twitter users but is something rather recent to Facebook.
The same as mentioning users on Twitter using the @ sign, you can now do the same thing on Facebook. Here is how it works;
1) Think of a page you would like to mention. In this example, let's use Social Report
2) Next, let's conduct a message. Let's say something like "Using @socialreport to post my first mention"
3) Now, login to your Social Report account, click on Publishing > Schedule a Post, design your personalised message and click 'Publish Now'
4) Now check your Facebook feed - you will see something like this:
You may click on the mention to re-direct users to the page you have mentioned.
IMPORTANT: Facebook Mentions only work on Pages and not on Personal Profiles or Groups. You may only mention Pages but not users.
