We’re living in the video era of social media. Facebook will invest nearly a billion dollars into its video services next year, and Twitter already sees over 82% of its user base regularly watching video on its platform. Additionally, web video pioneer YouTube grew to 1.5 billion monthly active users in 2017, with a majority of them being under the age of 34.
Because of this growth, your customers are coming to expect videos and images in your status updates and Tweets. And frankly, there’s no reason not to add them as there are loads of online tools you can use to create visual media without hiring a production team.
The folks at Infographic Design Team published an infographic earlier this year that shows how visuals are changing social media as we know it. The graphic is chock-full of interesting statistics that can persuade even the most traditional marketers to make the move to visual.
