No one has the time to read each comment, mention, etc. to determine the emotion behind each. But measuring sentiment is important as it helps you understand the general feeling surrounding the message you are pushing out to your social networks. You can, however, automate the process of measuring sentiment by using the Social Report search agent feature. Here's how:
